In 2019, we planted our first seeds — both literally and figuratively. What started as a small garden and a big dream has grown into Eco Wonder Schools, a thriving early childhood education community in East Palo Alto.
Our Origin Story
The idea was simple: what if children could learn and grow in a garden? What if instead of four walls, their classroom was surrounded by living things?
We started small — a few raised beds, some fruit trees, and a lot of hope. Our first students were curious, adventurous, and ready to get their hands dirty.
What We've Built Together:
- A thriving edible garden with over 50 plant varieties
- A community of families who share our values
- A curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia and Permaculture
- A safe, nurturing space where children can be children
